Lasca tables by Marco Sousa Santos

Many designers tried to think out of the box, tried to make a new form or new idea. Not all of them succeeded. But here we have one simple form transformed in one simple furniture but the combination is fantastic. This is the Marco Sousa Santos Lasca tables. The designer were inspired for the form from the rooks sitting at the bottom of the river and there shape formed by the moving water. This is unusual form for a table design but that's what we liked.

The table is created from agglomerated dark cork, he finished the product with lacquered MDF placed on the sides of the table. This helps the table to be more stable and looks finished with highlighting the core of cork at the same time. The table is suitable for all kind of spaces from your living room or in the office. The top surface is even and is suitable for all the items you can think. The tables come in different shapes and sizes as each is peace is very important for the designer and he put big effort in each one.
