Glo Nightlight - keep monsters away all night long

It’s late at night, you wake up and need to go get a glass of water, a snack, or take care of some other late hour business but there’s a problem in your bedroom: It’s dark. Sure, you could paw around for the lamp and clumsily try and turn it on, likely waking yourself up more in the process, or you could stumble around trying to find the light switch, but why use a 20th Century solution when there’s a geekier option out there?
The folks over at Think Geek are now selling Glo Nightlight Glowing Balls for those who think a set of multicoloured glowing orbs could brighten up their lives. Kids will beg you to turn off the lights because that’s when Glo really shines.

The balls charge up using a base station and can be adjusted to display nearly any colour in the rainbow. And there’s nothing electronic in them, so they don’t get warm and they won’t break. You can even tuck them into bed with your child. You can even tuck them into bed with your child. The glow fades to dark after 30 minutes, helping them fall asleep. Bonus: 95% effective at keeping monsters away all night long. The set of three glowing balls also comes with a little decorative stand for each ball, so you can arrange the balls for decorative lighting around the home, using different colour combinations to help set the stage for different moods.

For those concerned about the environment, the balls are BPA-free, phthalate-free, PVC-free, and use low-energy LED lights requiring minimal power. Whether you’re looking to light your home a certain colour for a party, are trying to scare away the monsters under the bed, or simply need a cooler flash-light to guide you to the fridge for that midnight snack.

When I looked the picture of the product which he found, I thought it as a glowing toy but it is a glowing pillows I felt great.
These glowing pillows are designed with semi-transparent fabrics that will let the glow of the LED lights visible at night. Usually it is said that we should avoid reading in dark or in dim lit rooms as its strains our eyes. Many of us who just cannot keep away from books, this pillow light really helps us and is a must.
This amazing pillow is actually a cool piece of furniture from my point of view. This makes more comfortably to read in bed and avoid all the stiff neck complaints and avoids stress. We can keep our hands free to turn the pages. This innovative product will in fact encourage more reading at bed times.

It really helps in the event of a power cuts and other emergencies the pillow light will be at hand as a dependable light source. Pillow Light is devoted to the fascinating world of design for kids. We can also continue our story telling with the help of books for our kids until they feel sleepy.
To be honest, I'm not sure about the LED light is bright enough for reading. If power shuts it can be used as a flash light to light your way around the house. Talking about pricing and availability of the Pillow Light is not revealed yet.

Fly Catcher

Fly Catcher is a rubbish bin lid that can trap fruit flies.

By instinct, fruit flies follow the smell that emanates from rubbish. Fly Catcher contains an inner volume that can trap the fruit flies as they try to enter the bin. Slits on the bottom of the lid allow the smell of the rubbish to emanate and attract the flies. Small openings on the top of the lid allow the flies to enter the inner volume, from which they cannot easily escape. Eventually, they will starve inside the lid. An acrylic window on the top of the lid allows the user to see whether the flies are still moving. When they are dead, the upper and lower parts of the lid can be separated and the flies can be emptied out.

Bionic Humidifier by Gonglue Jiang

Nature, nurture and design come together in Gonglue Jiang‘s Bionic Humidifier — a clever appliance masquerading as a potted plant that also functions as an indoor humidifier. Jiang’s artificial “bloom” wilts and goes limp without continual watering (refilling) and comes in an assortment of colors and shapes — just like the garden variety. “I designed a humidifier simulating a live flower that needs to be ‘nurtured,’” Jiang explains, “which fulfills emotional needs for the users.”

The Bionic Humidifier does it all— it moisturizes your apartment, it looks beautiful while it does it, AND it offers the bragging rights that go with keeping something alive! And don’t think this is just decorative folly — this apparatus has been created to live, die and be maintained like a flower, making it more than just another household tool.

No green thumb? No worries — the Bionic Humidifier is much more forgiving than Mother Nature. Once you provide water, your plant will perk back up and resume humidifying. With the looks and mannerisms of a plant, Jiang aims to bring both fresh air and a natural feel into otherwise enclosed spaces, and, unlike typical whirling and fizzing varieties of humidifiers, the Bionic Humidifier provides a “natural breeze effect in home humidifying.”

The SlingsHot Tea Cup

Have you had an experience where you troubled yourself with tea bag when making your morning tea? It is troublesome to pull and dip it in the hot water inside the cup without having to splash the water and without the water having to catch your parts of your hands. Some even would splash the hot water into their shirt or even accidentally drop and break the teacup. Today, thanks to Samir Sufi, you will never be again to deal with frustrating tea bag. Now you can have a lot more fun while making morning tea.

This teacup design is extraordinary as it allows you to kind of slingshot the tea bag by simply pulling it back and dips it again. This is thanks to the edge near the handle of this cup that will hold the tea bag while you are pulling it. The name is The SlingsHOT Tea Cup. The shape is a bit different from the everyday ordinary tea glass. You can simply squeeze the tea once you dip it into this cup. This way you can gain more tea out of your tea bag. It is simply a perfect addition to your kitchenware and for your kitchen appliances. Modern design and more function, I would definitely want one.

The Tipping Teacup

The Tipping Teacup is a quick and easy tea fix as it’s both a steeper and a cup. A special compartment in the cup allows to use both traditional tea and teabags. The plastic cup can be tipped left and right due to the angled bottom. The tea is placed into a small compartment and is filled with hot water. Thus the cup works both as a teapot and a teacup. The screen inside the compartment is removable and washable.

The Tipping Teacup is great when one’s in a hurry. It’s a quick way to enjoy some warm tea and run out for work. It can be thrown into the dishwasher though it’s not safe for a microwave. The teacup is available at Uncommon Goods in black and white finishes matte on the outside while glossy on the inside.

Mono Filio Teapot

The Mono Filio teapot has a graceful and restrained appearance to be the centrepiece of a contemporary, Western version of the tea ceremony. Place your favourite tea in the stainless steel mesh sieve, and watch the leaves unfold freely, as they release their aroma.

With a vertical stainless steel frame in which the glass bowl is suspended, the open stainless steel sieve gives tea space to fully develop. The leaves float freely, absorbing as much water as possible, and releasing the maximum amount of flavor and aroma into the brewing tea. How about a cup of…
The days of throwing a tea bag into a glass of hot water are over. Nowadays, people have grown to love tea and to learn about its special qualities and flavors. All of a sudden, if we’re having some friends over, the notion of a hot cup of tea is not so eccentric and is actually most popular.

Tea lovers are no longer enigmatic. We can all agree that the world of tea offers a wide range of aromas, textures and flavors. The modern Mono Fillio Teapot allows you to enjoy this rich world to the fullest. On top of it all – you’re also enjoying an elegant design of a stylish teapot. An item you can proudly place as a centerpiece at your dinner table.

Teacup for Sorapot

Joey Roth’s Sorapot has come a long way, and after years of waiting us can finally all get our hands on one in 2008! Not only beautiful, but functional – it protects your hands and tabletop from heat with its tripod base and sleek handle. I love the smooth transition between the two parts.

So why this design? Joey says “I designed this teacup to emphasize the beauty of tea on glass while insulating your hand and tabletop from heat.” I must admit my favorite part was the base… at first it looked like a Mercedes logo ~ perhaps a cute idea for a future mug is a peace sign base that leaves peace sign water marks when left on paper…
