Practical and Creative Gadgets for Every Photographer

Almost everyone likes taking photos and everyone wants to improve their photo capturing skills. To help you capture really good photos many amazing gadgets are present out there. All photographers, professional or amateur, can use these gadgets. Most of the gadgets are not at all tought to use so anyone can use them.

Camera Lens coffee Mug

Camera Lens coffee Mug This mug comes with a lens cover lid for keeping your beverages hot, as well stopping any unwanted dust particles. The lid can also be used as coaster for the mug or a novelty holder for your favorite biscuits.

Pop-Up Studio Box Photo light Cube

Pop-Up Studio Box Photolight Cube is suited for digital and analogue photography and provides a shadow-free illumination and soft light from all sides.

A Flexible Tripod

Gorrilapod - flexible tripod lets you position your point and shoot camera anywhere to capture the perfect shot. Flexible, wrap able joints secure round objects and position your camera at any angle and rubberized ring and foot grips enhance stability on difficult terrain. GorillaPod Original can wrap round a railing or perch on a rock, stabilizing your camera to capture crisp photos.
There are tons of real-world examples where these would be useful, the first that comes to mind is “guerilla” style podcasting. Let’s say you’re doing a podcast about hiking, using the flexible legs, it can be hung from trees or positioned to work where the standard tripod might flip over.

Inflatable Photo Studio: The Hooligan

No room in the home for a studio? A product by IPS-Studio gives photographers an indoor studio, saving thousands on rental property.
The Inflatable Photo Studio is a large inflatable room that uses an industrial fan to essentially blow up the room to full size. The material is solid-black UV coated polyurethane, both the color of the material and the tight space create an ideal situation for controlling lighting. I’d personally want to splurge for an upgrade that came with a chrome-green interior for green screening. Weather is another factor, anyone who’s suffered through trying to produce a podcast outdoors knows, mother nature can be a cruel mistress — this totally eliminates poor sunlight and rain.
The Hooligan is $500 and is the economy version in their line of inflatables, it nicely deflates and folds down into a compact situation; 40 x 20 x 20, weighing in at about 50 pounds.  And you’re seriously going to want to get yourself a permit if you plan on putting this thing on city property.

The Ring Flash Adapter

These are loved by fashion photographers and they are quite popular for capturing macro photos, portraits, and even documentary photography. This O-Flash Macro Flash unit is a unique adapter for your hot-shoe flash unit designed to replicate the lighting effect produced by traditional, expensive, and heavy powered studio ring flash units.

Pop-Up Flash Diffuser

The Pop-up flash diffuser soften the harsh light produced by camera's "pop-up" flash, giving you much natural effects

This three colour flash diffuser soften the harsh light produced by camera's "pop-up" flash, giving you much better colour and softer shadows. The diffuser bracket slides onto your camera's flash shoe with different colour diffuser placed in front of your pop-up flash to create different effects.

* Provides professional-style diffused lighting from your camera's pop-up flash.
* Softens camera's harsh direct flash.
* Reduces harsh shadows and red eye.
* Mounts via the camera's flash hot shoe.
* Adjustable for center positioning of any pop-up flash regardless of size.
* Works in any camera mode (ex: Program, Aperture priority, etc.)

Camera Hot Shoe Triple 3 Axis Spirit Bubble Level

As cheap and convenient as spirit levels for cameras are, there’s no reason for you to be without one. These inexpensive gadgets fit easily in your pocket, and are used to ensure that your shots are perfectly level. You’ll never have to waste valuable time levelling your horizons in Photoshop again.

Pinhole Lens

Principle of pinhole lens: Light from a scene passes through this single point (pinhole) and projects an inverted image, on the camera sensor. The human eye in bright light acts similarly, as do cameras using small apertures. Within limits, a smaller pinhole (with a thinner surface that the hole goes through) will result in sharper image resolution because the projected circle of confusion at the image plane is practically the same size as the pinhole. There is no aperture and focusing rings on the lens implies aperture and focusing are not to be controlled.

Lens Baby Composer

If you want to get even more artsy-fartsy about composing your photos, the Lens baby Composer is basically a 50mm with a lens you can move around. Like the regular 50mm, it also has a very narrow depth of field and it’s one of the cheaper lenses you can buy. What makes it different is its ability to pivot front elements that skew the way light passes through the lens to your sensor. The resulting images you get have a much more dramatic, and often directional bokeh for more dynamic images.

Solar-Powered Camera Strap

The strap attached to the camera consists of a row of tiny flexible solar panels on it which enables the camera batteries to be recharging whenever the photographer is shooting in daylight. (This is just a concept, hopefully the concept will become reality)

Mini Model Camera with 3 Lenses

“This rare and tiny gem is a superbly detailed and a very real-looking 1/6 scale model of your own life-sized DSLR with every button, screen, switch, n’ dial in place. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more want-worthy, three detachable lenses are included with removable lens hoods, too!”

Cloak Bag

The Cloak™ bag is the world’s first shoot-through camera bag that allows a user with a DSLR or SLR camera to take photos without removing the camera from the safety of the bag. It’s the perfect fit for travelers or any photographer who has missed a shot simply because the camera was left in the bag.

The Bottle Cap Tripod

Need a tripod in a jiff? Grab the nearest soda or water bottle, stick on the Bottle Cap Tripod, and you’re set! Self-portraits, group photos on self-timer, and steady low-light shots just became a whole lot easier!

The Super-Secret Spy Lens

Taking candid shots with your camera can be a risky prospect especially when in a crowded area as the chances of getting caught are more. It can be possible with a digital camera but thinking of taking a candid shot this way with a DSLR camera can be virtually impossible as the moment you point the lens at some unaware subject they will instantly come to realize about it. Only the most skillful photographers will be able to pull off this kind of cheeky candid DSLR photography without getting caught.

PhotoJojo has come up with the apt solution to this so called naughty problem and allow shooting people without even pointing the camera at them thereby eliminating any chances of getting caught as the normal reaction would be that of denial because a camera that isn’t pointing at you isn’t definitely shooting you. They call it the Super-Secret Spy Lens and you can hook it up to any camera lens and then you’ll be able to shoot exactly 90 degrees away from where the camera lens is pointing. Truly speaking this is not exactly a lens but a mirror that bends the light 90 degrees and let you shoot candid shots with ease. Super-Secret Spy Lens along with all the adapters will cost you around $85 which is not much for the naughty blokes out there, so check out more on the product page itself.
