Dos Pavos Piggy-Bank By Mr. Simon

Valencia-based design studio Mr.Simon reimagined the traditional piggy-bank with this cleverly self-counting money box for €2 coins.  ‘Dos Pavos’ is made of a cylindrical solid base of wood, that acts as coin stopper and a ceramic piece that rises in height as the piggybank is filled in with coins. Ralph Lauren Soft Ricky Bag In Alligator Leather

If there is a bag capable of giving competition for Hermès’ Birkin Bag, Ralph Lauren’s Soft Ricky Bag in Vintage Brown Matte Alligator is one. Though nobody wax poetically about the Ricky Bag the same way as the Birkin, in its exquisite alligator leather version it stands out on its own next to Birkin as an equal.

The alligator leather used in making the Ricky has been tumbled and treated to get its soft and silky feel. Afterwards hand-sewn from many layers of the leather to create the bag. Its interior design detail includes Clementine leather lined and a snapped pocket.

Exterior styling features the familiar round top handles in alligator and a detachable alligator cross-body strap with silver-toned roller buckles. As with other Ricky bags, this too uses a front flap for closure. Closure is secured by the Ricky lock in silver tone and two keys come in an alligator key bell.

The Ricky Bag in alligator measures 10″ H x 12″ L x 7″ D with a 5½” handle drop. It also come with Ralph Lauren’s signature protective felt pouch and a card of authenticity. With its $18,500 price tag, the beautiful alligator leather Ricky will set you back a bit, just like a Birkin.

Cartier Ballon Bleu Flying Tourbillon In Blue Enamel

House of Cartier has a new beautiful watch with a blue enameled dial named, Ballon Bleu Flying Tourbillon. Cartier has used flinqué style enameling on the dial, where the enamel color is deposited on a gold or silver previously guilloched or hand engraved dial using a quill pen or a brush. The process repeated at least 4 times, each with time spend in an oven at 820 degrees.

A difficult and time consuming process but worth every effort. The Cartier manufacture caliber 9452 manual winding movement comes housed in a 39 mm white god case. The movement beats at 21,600 vph and provides a power reserve of 50 hours. When looking closer you’ll notice the famous “C” of the Cartier displayed prominently on the tourbillon carriage and the baseplate of the movement. Also noticeable are the understated short lugs as a design feature. The movement come with the Geneva seal stamped to it.

Its hands sword-shaped, are made of steel. The watch features a characteristic Cartier crown set with a blue sapphire cabochon. Limited to just 100 numbered pieces, the Ballon Bleu Flying Tourbillon comes with a dark blue alligator leather strap matching the dial.

This Brilliant Rekindle Candlestick Turns Melted Wax Into a Fresh New Candle

Who would have thought candles ever need further innovation? We certainly did not think so, but designer Benjamin Shine begs to differ; he have come up with an ingenious idea that could potentially save the world a ton of wax (figuratively speaking…) by, well, recycling the wax for the next candle and the contraption to do so is his Rekindle Candle. The Rekindle Candle is more like a candlestick holder that collects the melting wax of the burning candle atop to form a new candle. A wig is placed in the center of the candlestick stem and once the stem is filled, which it should when the first candle burns out, it can then be place on top of the holder to start the cycle again.

Further details weren't available, but we are assuming that the ‘stem’ is replaceable and comes rig with a wig for a continuous process. in this way, you will only need one candle and yards of wig to keep on using the same wax over and over again, thus saving the our already distraught planet of another wax waste, plus manufacturers, won’t need to produce as many candles for the market (probably not quite a good news to the chandlers, btw), which means less resources being used. Though we hardly think animal fats, mineral oil, or even beeswax will have much impact environmentally. Interesting concept nonetheless.

Notice how big it is?
That’s because it’s for peeling veggies, especially carrots!!

Tired of slicing, dicing, or chopping your vegetables and want to try something new? Jerusalem product designer Avichai Tadmor created this scaled-up pencil sharpener for shaving curls of carrot onto salads. It’s a stylish tool that will add some zest to your boring salad, put a little twist in your stir fry casserole and cast a big smile on your face.

YolkFish - A Squeezable Fish That Separates Egg Whites & Yolks With Just A Kiss

Tel Aviv-based Peleg Design has created the YolkFish, a squeezable goldfish that effortlessly separates eggs with a kiss.

The suction created by squeezing the fish’s belly pulls the yolk away from the whites of a cracked egg, leaving no trace behind. This is a definite “want item” for anyone whose ever had to make a meringue or an egg-white cocktail in a reasonable amount of time.
