Tom Ford Enters the Sneaker Game

Tom Ford’s latest creation is his first ever collection of sneakers for his label. Ford has created 12 styles that come in high and low-top versions in various materials and colors. The entire collection set to arrive in stores in the fall, meanwhile few are available online and in store.

Collection features low-tops in leather and velvet priced $790 and $690 respectively, while high-tops in leather and velvet are priced $990 and $890.

All shoes are handmade in Italy. The lengthy production process includes a ten day ‘resting’ period for the leather to get in shape and an additional three days of hand polishing. Leathers are available in seven shades, while velvets come in five colors. White rubber soles are a common theme in all models.

The Tom Ford sneaker collection will go on sale at label’s American boutiques in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas as well as the London and Milan stores in Europe in the fall.

As Foreo points out, most electric toothbrushes available in the market today are bulky and their functions has not seen an update for 60 years. Foreo has spent considerable amount of research time on finding better material, function and form. New Issa brush promises to deliver a “hygienic, gentle clean” through its ergonomic brush heads and soft bristles. Its brush head is made to last up to one year and has a battery that lasts for 6 months or 365 uses in one charge.

A $3,000 platinum toothbrush, electric or not is not for everyone. There is a much more affordable $199 version doing rounds in company’s crowd funding page at Indegogo.

Dolce & Gabbana partner with Magnum to create ice cream

High-end fashion meets high-end ice cream, occasionally. Premier ice cream maker Magnum and Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has introduced a new mouthwatering ice cream for this summer.

The collaboration celebrates Magnum’s 25th year in making smooth, creamy delicious ice creams. Ice cream features favorite flavors of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana that combines soft rich vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate bits and crushed pistachios at the center all covered with a coat of white chocolate.

Designer ice cream comes in a beautifully designed box that feature Sicilian Zagara orange blossoms, emerald green prickly pear plants and their ripe, juicy coral fruits that serve as the background for an attractive Sicilian horse cart and its vibrantly colored decorations. Inspiration for the limited edition ice cream come from Sicilian flavors and fragrances.

Limited to just 30 pieces, Red Demon fittingly come with inner flange, hands, strap and crown protector covered in burning red. The 50 mm case of the Red Demon is made from three different materials, bezel in red gold, caseband in titanium and pushers in NTPT carbon. It has a red rubber strap with 5N red gold and titanium clasp.

Powered by a skeletonized automatic winding movement, host of features offered include a power reserve of 55 hours, water resistance up to 50 meters, sixty minute countdown timer, 12 hour totalizer and the flyback chronograph. Month display is located between 4 and 5 o’clock, while oversized date display is at 12 o’clock.

If you thought Nike’s first 3D printed product going to be Air Jordans, you thought wrong. Nike has launched the Football Rebento duffle bag that combines their craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technological innovation.

The Rebento duffel features a 3D printed base and an upper made from premium leather. Nike designed the stylish Rebento exclusively for three of world’s best footballers Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney or Neymar Jr., and it will be players go to bag during the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Custom made bag features gold hardware with each player’s name.

Stud plate design borrowed from the Magista and Mercurial football boots are included on the base of the bag. Rebento also boasts laser-sintered nylon intertwined weave on the base, a detail imported from the Nike Flyknit pattern of the Magista and Mercurial. The 3D printed base also notable for its durability, lightweight and flexibility.

Vertu has a new addition to their luxury phone lineup, the Signature Touch and it comes with a hefty starting price tag of $11,300. Phone measures 5.7 inches, this much real estate would make any phone a phablet, but its 1080p touchscreen display measures only 4.7 inches and that makes it a regular sized phone.

The handcrafted Signature Touch runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and available in range of colors and exotic leathers. This phone as with other Vertus come with all the bells and whistles they offer including the Concierge Service, Life personal assistant service and Certainty data protection service.

Protected inside its titanium casing exists a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 64 GB of internal storage, Qi wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS Compass and a 2275mAh battery. Several connectivity options including LTE, Micro USB and WCDMA Bands are available. For Skype enthusiasts it has a 23.5 MP front camera and Bang & Olufsen speaker with Dolby Digital Plus virtual surround sound. For everything else there is the 13-megapixel Hasselblad camera on the back.

It also comes with a list of pre-installed applications and majority of them are Google staples such as Gmail, Google Play, Google Maps and YouTube. Vertu also installed other non-stock apps that include calendar, messaging, movie, music and contacts.
